What actually is The Cover Story Studio?
It’s a storytelling process. You share a real photo, and I create an editorial-style cover that captures who the subject is - or who they’re becoming. Whether that’s a child, an adult, a couple, a family, or a beloved pet, every cover is designed to celebrate the story behind the photograph.
Is this replacing photography?
Not at all - actually it starts with it! Your photo is the foundation. I build from there, shaping it into something more layered, personal and expressive.
What kind of photo do I need?
Just something clear and well-lit. It doesn’t need to be professionally taken, perfectly styled or carefully posed. Some of the most meaningful covers begin with simple everyday photos.
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not at all. You can arrive with a clear vision, a theme, a milestone or simply a few scattered ideas. I’ll help bring the story together.
How custom is this?
Completely. Colours, themes, styling, props, cover stories and design details are individually tailored to reflect the person, pet or memory being celebrated.
What should I tell you?
Anything that feels important. What they love. What they’re known for. Their hobbies, passions, quirks and favourite things. Tell me about the season of life they’re in. Tell me what makes you smile when you think about them. Tell me what you’re proud of. If it’s a child, tell me about the obsessions, adventures and milestones. If it’s an adult, tell me about the achievements, passions, memories and moments worth celebrating. If it’s a pet, tell me about the personality traits, funny habits and reasons they’re so loved. Dot points are perfect. Random thoughts are perfect. Stories are perfect. You don’t need to tell the story perfectly. That’s my role.
